Aama Odisha founder Soumya Ranjan Patnaik on Wednesday said an alliance of the BJD and the Congress is running the State. Addressing a rally here, he said there is a tacit understanding between the two parties, which has enabled the BJD to rule unhindered.
Patnaik said the BJD has been running the State with a mixture of lies and bribes. He cited the false statement of Revenue Minister Surjya Narayan Patro in the Assembly about the Central aid for cyclone and floods-hit areas as a case in point. The BJD has also sought to perpetuate its rule by bribing voters, he added. Aama Odisha seeks to provide an alternative to the parties that have taken the State down the road to poverty and unemployment, he said, and called upon the youth to become “part of the process of this change”.
