'BJD Bijepur prospect getting brighter'

PNS

The prospect of the BJD winning the Bijepur by-poll is getting brighter by the day even as the BJP is making the environment untidy and misleading voters with nonissues, said BJD State secretary Bijay Nayak in a statement on Monday.

“Out of the total 2,10,000 voters in the Bijepur Assembly constituency, more than 50 per cent are farmers.

The voters know very well that the Centre has not accepted the State’s proposal to raise the paddy MSP to Rs 2,930. On Mahanadi water dispute issue, the BJP has also supported Chhattisgarh and thus taken an anti-Odisha stand.

Besides, the BJP has also taken anti-Odisha stand in cases of Kalahandi  and Bargarh rail and NH projects. Voters know all these,” said Nayak.

He said that people’s acceptance to the Naveen Patnaik Government has already been proved by results of different polls held in the State.
