An Odia film on the biography of National Florence Nightingale Awardee K Krishna Kumari would hit cinema halls in the State soon, informed film producer Jayalaxmi Mishra.
Mishra said the biopic entitled “Tejaswini” is being choreographed and directed by Kunal Patnaik. K Krishnakumari started building her social service career after being inspired by Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das’ famous couplet, “Mishu mora deha e desha matire, deshabashi chalijaantu mo pithier”. She has served innumerable pregnant women. She is still serving people based on the Gopabandh ideology.
Sachi Monthy is the lyricist of the film and Bhina and Tuna are singers. Sajeeb Kar is the co-producer of the film starred by Kuna Tripathy, Jaylaxmi Sushree Rath, Pallavi, Jiban Panda, Rabi Mishra, Sanjeeb, Hena, Priya and Kunal.
Mishra said the film is being shot in Ganjam and Khordha districts.
