Rich tributes were paid to former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik across the State on his 21st death anniversary on Tuesday. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik offered floral tributes at his father Biju Patnaik’s statues in State Assembly premises and at the Forest Park here. He later went to Puri and laid a wreath on the Biju Patnaik Memorial at the Swargadwar.
Remembering the legendary leader, political leaders cutting across party lines paid homage to him and recalled his contributions in building a modern Odisha.
Sudarsan Pattnaik, internationally-acclaimed sand artist from Odisha, created a sculpture at the Bhubaneswar Biju Patnaik International Airport paying tribute to the “great statesman”.
