A day after the double murder in the city, the Brahmapur Police on Thursday found some clues about a gang of criminals from Bihar involved in the murder case.
Police sources said the two deceased identified as lalu Kumar Yadav and Solistic Yadav belong to Bihar’s Munger area. Solistic was involved in 24 criminal cases, including a snatching case under the Khordha GRP.
The murder occurred due to fall out between the two gangs. “As they were professional criminals and working in a gang, they might have some disputes regarding equal distribution of money within themselves and it ended in the murder,” said Brahmapur SP Sarthak Sarangi.
The Odisha Police have started probing the matter by taking help of the Bihar Police to go into the root of gang war.
Notably, three miscreants killed two Bihari youths boarded in an auto rickshaw near lanjipalli bypass here on Wednesday.
