A man and his son died after sustaining critical burn injuries in a fire mishap in their shop in Bhadrak district.
Jayanta Barik and his son Purna Chandra were seriously injured as the fire broke out in the shop near the Kasimpur-Asurali Road on Saturday. The fire reportedly emerged from a burning incense stick.
The victims were rescued and admitted to the SCB Medical College Hospital in Cuttack, where they succumbed to their injuries on Sunday while undergoing treatment.
