Though 10 godowns were constructed for RMC Market in Bargarh seven years ago, they are lying unused. The godowns were constructed to provide all types of facilities to thefarmers for selling paddy.
The RMC is functioning for the sale of vegetables, paddy and other produce of the local framers. But in the district, the RMC officials are only stressing on sale of paddy, a farmer’s association alleged. More than 18 market yards and 15 sale centres are in Bargarh district.
It is also alleged that the fund given to the RMC for the development of necessary commodities of the yards is misappropriated by some venal officials with impunity.
