Tension prevailed here after a vehicle was captured carrying beef to Joda town by Bajrang Dal activists who held a bandh in Joda demanding arrest of the supplier.
Sources revealed that on Monday morning, the Bajranga Dal workers captured a 4-wheeler loaded with four quintals of beef and handed over the driver and the vehicle to the police. When the news spread, irked locals along with the Bajranj Dal activists observed a Joda bandh and demanded arrest of the main culprit who was supplying the beef in Joda area from nearby Jaintgarh of neighboring Jharkhand State.
However, local police controlled the situation by deploying the police force at the sensitive areas. After the situation returned to normal, the Muslim community also took out a procession in Joda on the occasion of Mohammed birthday.
