The Vigilance police on Thursday arrested Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) Section Officer (SO) Bibhuti Bhusan Ray for amassing assets worth Rs 1,38, 08, 773, disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Ray was found in possession of such huge disproportionate assets which he could not account for satisfactorily. Later, a case was registered against him and he was arrested.
Ray was remanded to judicial custody till December 24. Investigation of the case is in progress.
