Bhubaneswar on Friday registered a rise of 335 fresh Covid-19 positive cases. With this, the total tally in the State capital city surged to 1,01,208.Notably, the city had recorded 255 positives on Thursday.
Out of the new cases, 246 were local contacts and 89 quarantine cases.The local contacts included 18 cases in Chandrasekharpur followed by 14 in Khandagiri, 13 in Patia, 10 each in Unit-8 and Jharpada and eight in Mancheswar. The active cases in the city stood at 2,711. Meanwhile, seven more patients succumbed to the disease in the city, mounting the total death toll to 866. However, 230 persons recovered on the day, increasing the total recoveries to 97,610.
