late Bibhuti Bhusan Pattnaik was not only a teacher or farmer leader but also a guardian of poor men of the Paradip-Erasama area for his memorable works.
A State-level football tournament in his memory was held at the Kujang BB High School playground from June 14 to16. The tournament was jointly organised by the Bibhuti Bhusan Patnaik Memorial Association and the Kujang Athletic Club with 16 teams participating in it.
The final match was held between Paradip Port and Krishnanandapur. Paradip Port beat KNPur and won the trophy. The valedictory function was presided over by Athletic Club president Ranjan Kumar Das. Woman athlete Anuradha Biswal was chief guest on the occasion. The BBPM Association president and “Parada” editor Saroj Kumar Pattnaik, Jollywood Actor Daitary Panda, actresses Puja and Rani, film actress Riya, singer Sricharana Mohanty, youth football prayer Shiv Prasad Panda and Kujang Bar Association president Yadav were present along with Kujang Press Club president Raghunath Sahoo, Saranabinda Ojha, Athletic Club secretary Bharat Charan Sahoo and club vice-president advocate Susanta Kumar Pattnaik.
About ten thousand people witnessed the function.
