For the first time bar-code will be introduce to check the fake tickets and 10 per cent of the total capacity of tickets to be available online, said Odisha Cricket Association secretary Asirbad Behera here on Thursday in the first preparatory meeting held at Commissionerate Police office, for the fifth one-day international day-night match of India and Australia to be held at Barabati Stadium on October 26.
“Our prime job is to provide foolproof security to the players, from their arrival to departure and the route from hotel to venue. To ensure peaceful conducting the match, we will give priority to crowd control and crowd regulatory”, said Commissioner RP Sharma.
“We should not forget that in some international matches terrorists were created security hazards, we will also keep our bull’s eye for such instances, and we will take outmost care that the anti-social should not take advantage of the crowds”, added Sharma.
Both the teams will arrive here on October 24 and they will move to Cuttack on October 25th for net practices. The capacity of the stadium is about 45,000 out of which 20,350 will be available for public and 12,640 tickets will be reserved for BCCI sponsors, members, affiliated units of OCA and Odisha Olympic Association, added Behera.
Apart from gallery number six, seven and corporate gallery this year the tickets rate for gallery one, two, three, four, special enclosure, new pavilion, corporate box, and air-condition box has been increased in the tune of 25 to 35 percentages, further added Behera.
