Stress has been laid to propagate various bank schemes across Baleswar district, mainly in rural pockets, at a District Consultative Committee (DCC) meeting held at the Sadbhawana Bhawan convened by the lead Bank of the district on Saturday.
More or more people should take the benefits of the different welfare schemes including the Suraksha Bima Yojana, the Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, the Jan Dhan Yojana, the Mudra Yojana, district Collector Pramod Das emphasised. He added that such special awareness programmes should be organised till the end of October.
Stress was also given on the liking of Aadhaar cards with the account numbers and issuing of debit ATM cards. UCO Bank DGM Biswanth Parida, Nabard AGM BC Dhal, Odisha Gramya Bank Regional Manager Prakash Mishra and lead Bank manager Prafulla Dash, among others, attended the meeting.
