Three armed miscreants, who had entered the ICICI Bank branch at Trishulia in Cuttack district on Thursday, had to abandon their plans to rob the bank when the bank’s security siren went off.
The miscreants wearing helmets barged into the bank and started locking the staffs and customers in a room but became jittery and fled from the spot empty-handed as the siren went off.
Two of the robbers carried guns while another brandished a knife. The entire incident has been captured in the CCTV cameras installed at the bank.
According to eyewitnesses, the miscreants had come to the bank in a black Pulsar motorcycle having no registration number.
Getting information, a team of the Barang police rushed to the spot and started an investigation into the incident by examining the CCTV footages. The incident has become a topic of hot discussion in the area.
