Three beautiful and luxurious bamboo cottages developed recently by the Forest Department on Saranda hill near famous sweet water lake Ansupa have been attracting the tourists and visitors to the place .
The project of over Rs 25 lakh has multiplied the importance of this tourist destination. The cottages include a bed room, a drawing room, attached toilet facilities where the furniture are also made of only bamboo sticks. Artisans from Uttar Pradesh have completed the project and the bamboo sticks used in the cottages and furniture were collected from Meghalaya which have been coated with anti-insects cream for long lasting.
Beautiful courtyard with grass and other garden plants have also been planted here. A sunset point near the project will be developed soon from where the tourists can watch it amid the lake. The Forest Department has provided kitchen facilities for the guests.
