The Balasore Alloys, as part of its CSR initiatives, would embark on a massive plantation drive not only in its plant areas and its surroundings in Baleswar Town but also in the mining zone of Jajpur district, said a press release issued by the company management here last week.
Besides, the company has adopted two villages and two schools as model ones. All facilities for the villages like road, water and electricity requirements would be addressed by the company. Similarly, for the schools, all the infrastructure and supporting requirements would be fulfilled, said company’s AGM Sanjay Acharya.
“The company plans to plant trees on the roads of Anandabazar- Aradbazar, Aradbazar-Mirzapokhari and Hemkapada-ITI square in Baleswar. It has a target of spending about Rs 2.5 crore for the plantation drive both in Baleswar and Jajpur mining area,” Acharya added.
