Judicial activities in Badamba block of Cuttack district were affected for the third consecutive day on Wednesday as the lawyers boycotted the local court mounting pressure on the State Government to fulfil their demands.
“We will take our further course of action after our association’s general body meeting on Thursday,” said Badamba Bar Association president Harihar Balabantray.
The lawyers have been agitating since long demanding a civil judge court (senior division) and holding of circuit court of Additional District Judge at Badamba in view of the increase in population in the area. They are also demanding withdrawal of the e-district project, which was introduced recently to help people obtain caste, income and residential certificates by click of a mouse.
