More than two and a half months have passed since the kharif procurement process in Bargarh district but the problem of selling rice has not been solved in the district here. Various mandis have been closed while farmers have not sold their paddy. On the other hand, the token period for farmers has also expired. As a result, farmers have been unable to sell their crops. On Monday, farmers, led by the Rajbodasambar Farmers' Association, blocked the road connecting Padmapur to Sohela with tractors loaded with paddy at Kansingha Chowk. They demanded that all the paddy available to the farmers be bought. Hundreds of vehicles were stranded on both sides of the road.
