The Ganjam based NGOs and social organisations came to the rescue of the people of cyclone Yaas affected areas of Baleswar district. According to information available, 4,000 packets of dry food and 2,500 water bottles were sent to the affected areas of Baleswar on Wednesday by ARUNA and YSD as quick disaster response.
The district administration hailed the efforts of both the organisations for such humanitarian service to the people in need. YSD secretary Bibhu Prasad Sahu and Aruna member Lokanath Mishra were present at the time of dispatch of materials from Brahmapur.
Similarly, another relief vehicle was also reportedly flagged off by the district Collector from BeMC Office at 5.30 pm on Wednesday with food materials that include 2,500 kg flattened rice, 2,500 kg Gur and other necessary items to the flood affected areas.
