DGP Dr RP Sharma on December 11 had suspended Bhadrak district’s Bhandaripokhari police station IIC Amit Kumar Biswal for possessing cash of Rs 73,500 with him while travelling from Bhandaripokhari to Baripada and later failing to clarify the source of the possession of cash.
Biswal was caught by the Vigilance sleuths on December 11 while to Baripada. He was arrested and is in the judicial custody since then. During suspension period Biswal would remain under the disciplinary control of Baleswar ER DIG.
