The Kayaka lp Award 2018-19 were given away to various health centres in the Bargarh district at a felicitation function on Wednesday. District Collector Indramani Tripathy presided.
Notably, the objectives of the Kayakalp Award are to promote cleanliness, hygiene and infection control practices in public healthcare facilities, to make assessment and peer review of performance related to hygiene, cleanliness and sanitation, to create and share sustainable practices related to improved cleanliness in public health facilities linked to positive health outcomes and so on.
On the occasion, eight health centres of Bargarh district were felicitated and given cash prizes. They were Bhatli CHC (Rs 100,000), PHC Patharla (Rs 200,000), PHC Kamgaon (Rs 50,000), PHC Remunda (Rs 50,000), PHC Mandosil (Rs 50,000), PHC Jagadalpur (Rs 50,000), PHC Lakhanpur (Rs 50,000) and UPHC Stationpada (Rs 50,000).
Among others, Zilla Parisad president Mukta Sahu, CDMO Dr Sadhu Chandra Dash, DPHO Dr Chulabati Sahu, ADPHO Dr Bhima Sahu, ADMO Dr BB Meher, DTO Dr Dibya Pati, DPM Shankar Acharya and AM Deepali Pradhan were present.
