The DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, celebrated the World Heart Day here on Tuesday. Contributing to the worldwide mission of creating a Healthy Heart Environment, the DAVians participated in a four-kilometer rally with staffs of the Care Hospital here early in the morning. Around 350 students and 50 staff members of the school joined in the healthy mission displaying thought-provoking placards and slogans.
later a meeting was held at the school premises in the evening with parents, teachers and staff members of other sister concerns of the DAV Chandrasekharpur joining the meet.
Chief guest noted cardiologist Dr Mahendra Prasad Tripathy explained about the cases, systems and different preventives measures heart diseases in detail. “Awareness can combat all cardiac ailments; and children are the most effective agents of any change when it comes to creating awareness in the society”, he said.
