The Odisha Subordinate Finance Service (local Fund Audit) Association has served an ultimatum to the State Government to sort out their issues before February 18 or else they would resort to an indefinite agitation from February 19. Submitting a seven-point charter of demands to the Director of local Fund Audit, the association urged the Director to look into their seriously at the earliest.
The demands include stringent legal action against the Puri District Audit Officer (DAO) for allegedly harassing one Amita Satpathy during office work, immediate submission of CCRs and other related records of audit personnel to the Finance Department for promotion, immediate sitting up of a Departmental Promotion Committee for promotion of Auditors to Audit Superintendents as 28 posts of Audit Superintends and nearly 250 Auditors’ posts are lying vacant, appointment of junior assistant, senior assistant and section officer on regular basis, sanction of RACP in favour of all the audit personnel waiting to get the benefit by way of arranging CCRs or awarding NRC, enhancement of man-days for auditing of different institutions under ambit of local Fund Audit and revision of cadre rule of OSFS (lFA).
“Despite our repeated appeals and representations, nothing tangible has happened as yet on our demands, said association president Jyotrimaya Kar. “We have served an ultimatum to the Government to fulfil our demands or else we would resort to indefinite agitation from February 19 in front of the Office of the Directorate of local Fund Audit by taking mass leave,” Kar warned.
