The laxmisagar police on Wednesday arrested another woman, Binati Patra of Santipalli basti, in connection with the attack on policemen at Haldipadia slum on Monday evening.
Sources said the police nabbed Binati while she was trying to escape from the slum. During the clash with the police personnel, Binati had assisted Saila Ranasingh of the Haladipadia slum, who allegedly led the mob in attacking the cops.
Binati is the third person to be arrested in connection with the case after Mamata Nayak and Jitendra Karad. They all are now lodged at the Jharapada Special Jail here after their bail plea was rejected by a local court.
