The BJD held demonstration in front of nationalised banks at three places here on Saturday protesting against the Central Govern-ment’s financial irregularities and cash crunch in banks and ATMs.
The protestors said that as while during demonetisation the general public had suffered much and the same situation has arisen now. They also said if the problems are not solved immediately, they would intensify their stir.
Among others, former Union Minister Chandrasekhar Sahu, Brahmapur Development Authority (BDA) Chairman Subash Moharana, Brahmapur Municipal Corporation Deputy Mayor Jyotsna Nayak, Mamata Rani Ray, Mamata Bisoyi and Sanghamitra Sahani were present.
Ashok Sahoo, Pradipta Khatoi, Jibanananda Mohapatra, Santosh Ojha and Balakrushna Ojha were present. At Charichhak, Sudhiranjan Dash, Avimanyu Panda, Mahendra Mohapatra, Adhika Patra and Rachi Khatoi held picketing shouting slogans against the Central Government’s mismanagement of monetary policy.
