Ashok now to devote to socio-cultural activities

PNS

Ashok Kumar Tripathy superannuated from the IAS as Member, Board of Revenue on August 31. He will now spend his time for social and cultural activities. He was instrumental in staging big cultural events in the State during his tenure in Department of Culture and Tourism.

The IAS Association of Odisha lauded his achievements and wished him well during his retirement period.

Tripathy, a 1981-batch IAS officer, created new benchmark in the land revenue system during his incumbency as Member, Board of Revenue. He was instrumental in restoring back more than Rs 1,000-crore-worth of land as per market rate to the Government which was fraudulently taken by land sharks.

He heard a record number of court cases and disposed of many of them, which were pending for quite some years.

He modernised the Record Room of the Board of Revenue for proper preservation of valuable records. The Board of Revenue launched a computerised court case management system, which would help the common man in filing cases.

Tripathy is available on hand phone 09437040285 and landline 0674-2727380.
