Ash use issues discussed at Talcher Kaniha

PNS

To explore new ways for more utilisation of ash and discuss problems related to ash lifting, an Ash User’ Meet was held at the NTPC Talcher Kaniha here on Wednesday.

Participants from across the State, including Angul, Sambalpur and Baleswar participated in the workshop. NTPC ED NK Kothari interacted with the participants and tried to find out their problems and issues related to ash lifting from the NTPC Kaniha. He also shared about the proposed fly ash park to be built in Angul district. Kothari also assured all to help them address their issues.

The participants were given information on codes of practices for loading of ash and availing subsidy to carry ash. NTPC AGM (EMG and AU) AK Kamilla and AGM (EMG and AU) SS Pradhan had an interaction with the participants and pursued them to carry more ash from the power station.

Notably, the NTPC Kaniha organises workshops on ash utilisation every year involving business entrepreneurs having interest in fly ash and its products.
