In a bid to convey Prime Minister Modi’s concern over felling of trees, artist Samarendra Behera has carved a portrait of the PM on a tree at the Simlipal National Park in Mayurbhanj district.
The artist has reportedly said wanted to request the PM to take notice of the illegal felling of trees in the Similipal. He expects that his portrait would encourage people to join hands in saving the environment.Samarendra is known for his artworks on environmental conservation and cleanliness. He is popular as an ‘Artist of Environment’.Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday congratulated Behera for his efforts for awareness on environment protection.
