The Samajwadi Party State unit on Friday alleged that members of the Estimate Committee of the Odisha legislative Assembly have mentioned about hospitality invitation of the Tata Company in its circular during their field visit to Jajpur district.
In a letter to Assembly Speaker Niranjan Pujari, party president Rabi Behera said the resolution number (8589/90) issued on September 18 revealed that the committee members had scheduled to make night halt in Tata Steel Guest House on Friday night before going to Baleswar on Saturday.
Recently, Behera said, the State Government held Tata responsible for dangerous dengue situation in Jajpur district and for violation of Government guidelines in employing youths of the State. At the same time, accepting hospitality from such a corporate house indicates a severe contradiction within the Government as well as between the Executive body and the legislators.
“Are the MlAs agents of Tata CompanyIJ” questioned Behera.
Behera requested the speaker to make an inquiry in to the matter and fix up accountability after finding out the mole-hill who works as the agent of corporates like Tata Steel and do proper investigation.
