The Apeejay School, Ghatikia, Bhubaneswar, hosted an interactive workshop entitled “Effective Heutagogy for Fitness Parenting” on Saturday.
It was conducted by senior counsellor and psychologist Polly Sengupta.
The aim of the workshop was to help young parents to get acquainted with the child’s personality profile and equip him/her get ready for the outside world.
Polly Sengupta stressed on the significance of knowing and accepting the fact that each child is unique and hence cannot be perceived as “chip of the old block”. Sengupta reminded parents to overcome their ‘dream - child syndrome’ as a Utopian concept. She explained the concept of child development.
Many parents attended the workshop.
