Aparajita Sarangi strongly reacted against the sealing of her office here and demanded that the State Government seal the ruling BJD’s office for violation of the Covid guidelines.
In a Press conference, Sarangi displayed some photographs in support of her allegation against the BJD. She cited the instances of Gandhi Jayanti celebration and blood donation camp at the BJD office and Maharathy’s funeral procession during which Minister Samir Ranjan Dash was present despite being Covid positive.
“Why is the State government adopting double standards in implementing the Covid norms? Attempts are being made to disrupt the development activities in the Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha constituency. My office has been sealed to settle political scores,” she alleged.
Sarangi said she would send a letter to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik with 17 images and one video as attachments showing violation of Covid norms at the BJD office and by BJD leaders.
On her birthday celebration at her office by BJP workers, Sarangi said she got emotional and the mask was not on her face for a brief period.
