Kendrapada BJD MP and Ollywood actor Anubhav Mohanty has filed a criminal complaint in a court in Delhi against Odisha Television (OTV) and its managing director Jagi Mangat Panda and news editor Radhamadhab Mishra accusing them of tarnishing his image by telecasting and publishing fake news about him.
Mohanty has alleged that the accused have intentionally and knowingly insulted, defamed and humiliated him by circulating, telecasting, writing, publishing and sharing false stories, articles and videos about him.
“The accused in connivance with each other with ill motive, malafide intentions and to gain the political benefits out of fake propaganda have harmed the reputation, good will and respect of the complainant,” Mohanty has stated.
He has requested the court through his counsel Ashwani Kumar Dubey to take cognisance of the case, issue summons, undertake trial and punish the accused and issue directions to lodge an FIR against the accused persons.
