Members of the newly-formed Paradip Silpa Banchao Committee has strongly condemned anti-Posco leader Abhay Sahoo for his self-centred policy. At a Press meet on Friday, the committee leaders spoke against Sahoo, who has been protesting the proposed Posco steel plant in Dhinkia area.
Committee convener Sudhal Swain and Secretary Sanjay Swain said, “Those who love more than a mother should be a witch. All local villagers and land owners are not opposing to the Kalinga Carbon Plant. But, Sahoo is protesting the proposed carbon plant for the reason best known to him”
Notably, Sahoo had on June 22 taken out a mass rally protesting against the establishment of the Kalinga Carbon Plant. He criticised local political leaders and staff of Pollution Control Board regional office for the same. A week after his protest, industrial supporters formed the Silpa Banchaao Committee have to oppose anti-industrial people and elements Sahoo and to support industrialisation.
