Another land grab case was registered against arrested former Congress MlA Ramesh Jena, who is now lodged at the Brahmapur Circle Jail.
The case was filed at the Sadar police station here on the basis of a complaint by local endowment authorities against Jena and four others, his father Arakhit Jena, Councillor R Murli Mohan, Buna Sahu and Kiran Patra.
It has been alleged that Jena has defrauded four acres of endowment land at Nimakhandi and Borigaon under the Sadar police station.
Brahmapur Superintendent of Police Asish Singh said the former Sanakhemundi MlA has defrauded around four acre of land of lord Raghunath.
With this, a total of 17 cases have been registered against Jena so far.
Meanwhile, Jena has been sent back to jail after completion of his five-day remand. The Sadar police station had taken Jena on the remand on April 9.
On Tuesday, the Sadar police had taken builder Sai Patnaik, arrested on charges of a land fraud along with Jena, on a three-day remand.
