The deadly Japanese Encephalitis (JE) took life of another child in Malkangiri, taking the total toll to 105 in 65 days in the district.
The day’s deceased was identified as Ramachandra Nayak (5) of Disaruguda village under Korkonda block. He died while undergoing treatment at the Malkangiri
District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
Though the district administration claims to have taken several measures to check the spread of the disease, no letup has been marked. The disease is transmitted from pigs to human beings through mosquito bites.
