The rituals at the laxmi Barahajew chariot at Ali were disrupted and two servitors were injured as the charamala (wooden steps) caved in during pahandi bije on Sunday.
The charamala was collapsed while servitors were conducting Pahandi bije. The servitors along with the deities fell on the ground and two of them, Siba Panda and Susant Dixit, were injured.
On the other hand, two non-Hindus had allegedly entered into the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. This irked the priests. They conducted purification rituals in the temple, which further delayed Rath rituals. The police nabbed the two non-Hindus and detained them at the Ali police station in order to avert any untoward incidents. later, the king of Ali made Chhera Pahanra (sweeping activities)on the chariot.
