Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar on Saturday said step would be taken to recruit people at the Sambalpur All India Radio (AIR) station for reading news in Sambalpuri language soon.
“I came to know that people are deprived of listening news in Sambalpuri language as there is no person to read the news in this language at the Sambalpur AIR,” said the Union Minister while launching a mega BJP membership drive here at the State party headquarters.He said his Ministry would take effective steps to appoint people at the Sambalpur AIR for the purpose within two weeks.It has be noted here that the AIR Sambalpur station extends service to the people of the western part of the State as an auxiliary centre drawing most of its programmes from the AIR Cuttack station.
