The OPD service of the AIIMS Satellite Centre, Bhubaneswar was on Saturday provided to the patients of Baleswar and its neighbouring districts.
Dr Apurba Burman (physical medicine and rehabilitation), Dr Sanjeev Bhoi (neurology) and Dr Souvagya Jena (obstetrics and gynaecology) offered checkups and advices and prescribed medicines to the patients.
While the AIIMS has been providing the OPD service on every Saturday, this was the fifth occasion ever since it began in Baleswar at RASMI, an establishment of the DRDO, with initiative of the ITR. As many as 239 patients availed of the facilities.
Dr Mukunda Sahoo coordinated the programme. ITR Director Dr BK Das and several other scientists and employees of the ITR were present.
