The All India Democratic Students’ Organisation (AIDSO) Ganjam district committee on Tuesday staged a demonstration in front of the Khallikote Autonomous College here demanding release of stipend money of students without any further delay.
In their five-point charter of demands, the AIDSO members demanded the hike of admission fees be stopped, stringent action against the culprits who had raped Khandadeuli girl student and security for girl students in the State.
District secretary Sibani Shankar Mishra said the dharna would continue on Wednesday. Among others, AIDSO State secretariat member Somnath Behera, Ganjam district president Kartik Chandra Mohanty, Saswat Mishra and Nimai Charan Sahu participated in the protest dharna.
