The State council of the All India Democratic Students’ Organisation (AIDSO) on Tuesday opposed the passing of the Odisha University Amendment Bill, 2020 in the State Assembly.
The organisation burnt a copy of the bill in front of the Assembly and said this is a black bill passed by the State Government during the pandemic despite opposition from the Vice-Chancellors, Professors, students and intellectuals.The State Government and the Governor are equally responsible for the approval of this law. The Central Government and the State Government want to privates and commercialise education, alleged AIDSO State Secretary Subash Nayak.
Among others, AIDSO State president Ganesh Tripathy, Nasim Sarkar, Swasthi Sangita Dalei were present.
