The district administration officials reached Bhandar village in Binka block under Subarnapur district after some days of publishing a news of a BPl family whose 20-year-old youth was suffering from serious ailments and was deprived of advanced treatment due to lack of money.
Ashutosh Hota lies on bed as an invalid and his parents, Harishchandra Hota and Padmini Hota, are worried over his treatment as they have all exhausted their resources over treatment of the youth.
Rights activist Srikumar Mahanta had filed a petition against BDO, Binka at Chief Minister Office (CMO) seeking disciplinary action against the BDO for not carrying out an order to provide succor to the distressed family. Recently, the CMO has directed the district officials to take necessary action.
Meanwhile, Binka Block Social Security Officer Ashwini Pandy met Harishchandra and his wife Padmini and discussed over their problem.
