Members of the Balangir Citizens’ Committee led by its president Bhavani Satpathy on Saturday staged a dharna before the district Collectorate here demanding early commencement of admission process in the Balangir Medical College.
Thanks to the apathy of State Government, neither electricity nor water supply has been ensured to the medical college. land has been allotted to the medical college, but not a single staff has been appointed to start the admission process, mentioned a memorandum addressed to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. “We demand that the State Government take steps to expedite the incomplete work and start early admissions to the Balangir Medical College,” said speakers at the demonstration site.
