Kuarmunda-based Adhunik Mettaliks limited (AMl), which had been declared lockout since February 13, would reopen on May 15. This was decided at a bipartite meeting between the company management and Adhunik Mettaliks Karmachari Sangha, affiliated to CITU, on Friday.

Briefing to newsmen here on Saturday, CITU national vice-president Bishnu Mohanty said workers those were engaged as on February 12 would be retaken in between May 15 to June 8. Besides, all stakeholders would be intimated about reopening of the company through a five-day advance notice.

While the workers would be given their December wage immediately, the January wage would be given in June and July wage in February with arrears, Mohanty said, adding that other demands would be taken up after a bipartite discussion.
