A social activist and philanthropist from Balikuda, Sanjib Biswal, held a New Year get-together with journalists here on Wednesday and pledged to focus his social works in Jagatsinghpur district in the coming days.
Biswal said serving people in distress and doing noble works for society are his passion. “Earlier, I have done so many social works in my native areas coming under Balikuda and Erasama blocks. Now, I want to extend my works across Jagatinghpur district; so, I want support from all quarters, mainly from mediapersons,” he said.
The get-together was also addressed by Cuttack district Sarvodaya leader Dr Biswajit Suryabanshi, Jagatsinghpur Sarvodaya Mandal president Gyana Ranjan Samantray, late freedom fighter Bhagirathi Mohapatra’s kin Laxmi Prakash Mohapatra, social activist Rabi Mohanty, NGO activist Niranjan Barik and consumer activist Govinda Ojha.
