The Manav Adhikar Suraksha Manch (MASM) has demanded action against the English medium schools which are not following rules and regulations of the CBSE or the ICSE, thereby cheating students and their parents.
Manch coordinator Abani Kumar Gaya in a statement said, as per the Government rules, the CBSE and the ICSE-affiliated schools should obey the guidelines for obtaining no objection certificate (NOC) from the State Government and all other Central guidelines regarding construction of schools buildings, drinking water supply system and toilet facilities.
Opening of private English medium schools has now become a profit-making business and school owners are playing with future of children in the name of education, alleged Gaya. The schools also have also been harassing parents by increasing course fees and cost of books and school uniform time to time, he alleged further.
