ABVP protests outsiders in RD campus

PNS

Protesting the entry of outsiders into the campus of the Rama Devi Women’s University here, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) campus unit submitted a three-point charter of demands to the university Vice-Chancellor on Monday. The students demanded a strict ban on the entry of outsiders into the campus premises. “Entry of outside men and male youths into the campus of the university, which is known for its disciplined campus, has created panic among the students. This has also created resentment among the parents,” said Subhalaxmi Pradhan.

The ABVP also demanded engagement of female security guards in front of both the gates of the institution and maintaining of registers at both the entry points to keep a clear detail on the entrants. The Vice-Chancellor assured the students to look into the matter and take concrete steps to ensure a safety environment at the university. The memorandum was signed by around 300 students.  Sushrita Jena, Itishree Mallik and Priyanka Nayak headed the team.
