Aadhaar for APP posts opposed

PNS

Making the Aadhaar Card mandatory by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) for submission of online application for the Assistant Public Prosecutor (APP) posts has been decried by aspirants.

lawyer Sandeep Sai Panigrahi has urged the OPSC to strike out the Aadhaar Card mandatory field in the online application form as it, he said, violates the Apex Court rulings.

Panigrahi said he too sent the judgment copy of the apex court to the OPSC Chairman. Besides, he sent copies to the Chief Secretary, the Home Secretary, the Director of Public Prosecutor, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and the Chief Justice of the Odisha High Court. He said many llB graduates would be relieved and can fill the online forms if the Aadhaar Card is not made mandatory.
