One Susanta Dehury of Talamundal village under Badamba block in Cuttack district was on Friday sentenced to life imprisonment by Athagarh Additional Sessions Judge Amruta Ranjan Nanda for killing his elder brother Praffula over old enmity.
The Judge also asked him to a penalty of Rs 15,000 and in default, to undergo additional six months rigorous imprisonment.
On October 7, 2016 Susanta in a fit of rage had brutally assaulted Praffula with a lathi, due to which he suffered multiple wounds on his body and head. He was rushed to a hospital but he succumbed to the injuries.
