Seven children of Sambalpur district who are suffering from heart ailments from birth have been sent to Satya Sai Hospital, Ahmadabad for further treatment cum operation.
“Under Jatiya Bal Swasthya Bikash scheme, they have been sent for the improved treatment,” informed CDMO of Sambalpur Dr KK Gupta.
Children from inaccessible areas of the district in Naktideul, Charmal and other places were diagnosed and selected under the above scheme.
After consultation with the concerned medical, they have been sent with their guardians and doctors,
Dr Gupta added. The CDMO further informed that 40 such children were sent to Sai Hospital earlier for treatment, who are in better condition now.
