6 lHSs launched at one go in S'pur Rly dvn

PNS

With an aim of eliminating all unmanned level crossing (lC) gates, six limited height subways (lHS) have been launched simultaneously in Sambalpur Division on July 5.

In view of the launching of six lHSs, seven unmanned lC gates will be totally closed in Bhawanipatna-lanjigarh Road Section of Kalahandi area. launching of the lHSs in Sambalpur Division is a first of its kind not only in East Coast Railway, but also in the entire Indian Railways.

When completion of one single lHS in a block of four hours is itself an achievement, completion of six lHSs within the same time frame was unheard of.

In spite of the tremendous challenges involved in launching six lHSs in one go and despite the unfavourable monsoon weather conditions, the work was completed.

Under the guidance and leadership of General Manager of East Coast Railway Umesh Singh, Team Sambalpur under Divisional Railway Manager completed the task.
